The Department of Biology of the University of Pisa announces a competition for a mobility grant to carry out the Focused Lab Training at Aix-Marseille University, in France, during the second semester of academic year 2024/2025 within the framework of the European project ‘Advanced digital skills programme Artificial Intelligence and Health’ (AI and Health, Project Nr. 101083880), funded in the context of the DIGITAL EUROPE programme, call Advanced Digital Skills (DIGITAL-2021-SKILLS-01).
The activities of the Focused Lab Training have been awarded the Scientific Label from the Università Italo-Francese / Université Franco-Italienne.
The competition announcement, which is available on the official University Register (Albo Ufficiale di Ateneo), is addressed to students enrolled in the Master's degree course in Biotechnologies and Applied Artificial Intelligence for Health who meet application requirements.
The activities must begin after application deadline and must be completed by 30/06/2025.
AI and Healthcare: From Predictive to Prescriptive Models
This module focuses on the application of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector, exploring the evolution from predictive to prescriptive models. It examines how AI can transform diagnosis, medical examination analysis, treatment personalization, and the discovery of new molecules. Participants will explore the fundamental principles of health data, causal inference, and the technical, ethical, and legal challenges associated with AI in this field. Through case studies from clinical research, this program aims to provide an in-depth understanding of current and future challenges in digital health.
